Tales of a Misguided Mommy

So.  For a long time I've been that person who really didn't have to do much with their face.  I washed it when I remembered and yet I still had a pretty great complexion.  After Brandon I started using Philosophy just for funnsies.  Thought maybe it was time to start doing some maintaining you know.  However.  Recently nothing has helped.  My face went into MASSIVE TEENAGE BOY BREAK OUT PHASE.  I got crazy and started trying out new products.  What I would do is go to Sephora and ask for samples of stuff.  Try it for a while and see what happened.  NOTHING WAS WORKING.  My face was screaming out mayday MAYDAY FOR FUCKS SAKE WOMAN FIX ME UP.

Last weekend I took a shower and spied a sample of some face lotion.  I was in a hurry so I grabbed it, slapped it on and went to work.  Literally over night my face had a noticeable difference.  The next morning I looked at it and vaguely remembered getting the sample but I tried it again.  it worked again.  This weekend I went up and purchased this set by Juice Organics.  Thus far, I love it.  LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!  I have been told it is a little hard on sensitive skin though, but I have tough skin so it works.  It smells good, feels good and my face is rocking that 9 month pregnant glow again.

However, that doesn't mean I abandon Philosophy.  I still say it is by far one of the best products ever.  Next to Philosophy I personally have always had a crush on Clinique.  Their face care products have always been phenomenal for a small price.  I've bought Clinique since I was a wee little girl from the age of 16.  It has always been consistent and never let me down. Make up wise, they are again my favorite.  I don't wear make up often but when I do, I ALWAYS go to Clinique.

I have decided to give away a Clinique skincare set.  You will get one gel cleanser, two mild face washes  and the moisturizing gel.  These are all wonderful products.  The gel is to be used a couple times a week, and the wash daily.  In order to win, please tell me, if you had $100.00 to spend where would you spend it and what exactly would you buy?  Entries will be accepted until Friday the 20th!

First I'd go to Starbucks and spend $4.50 on a venti java chip frappucino... it is HEAVEN! Then off to Victoria Secrets to buy their Pink Body Spray & Lotion for $40.00 ($20.00 each) Then I'd hit our outlet mall Franklin Mills where we have this fab store that sells MAC, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, etc for %40 off!!!! I'd spend the rest of my $55.50 there getting the MAC blotting powder, MAC powder in light, MAC pigment eyeshadow in Naked and probably a Clinique superbalm in raspberry. Now you made me wish I really had $100.00 because I really do need that stuff from the outlet store (mine is about gone!) & don't have the $$$ at this moment. *sigh* hehe, that was fun!

Okay, let's see... If I had 100 Dollars just to spend I'd go to Ikea and buy that super cute bedding set I saw there (50 Dollars) then I'd go to Old Navy and buy some tanktops because now that I am not breastfeeding any more my old tops are a little wide LOL (let's say that's... 35 Dollars) and because I am a sucker mom I'd probably buy a cute shirt for Jayla... 7 Dollars. That leave me with.... 8 bucks, right? I'd probably use that to buy some cute lipgloss because my lips have been going "naked" for too long now. Yep and then all the money's gone :)

I would certainly use $100 to buy curtains and 5 sets of curtain rods for our sun room that is still bare!

If I had $100 to spend.... sadly, I must admit that I'd put it toward my tuition cost for this semester. I don't get tuition reimbursement until the end of the semester, and I'm taking more classes this semester than last....so I have an outstanding tuition balance. How sad and boring is my answer???? It's truthful, but boring.

if i had an extra $100 i would spend it on me. glorious ol' me and not my son. every bit of extra money we get goes to him and his needs and i always have a guilty conscience when i buy something for myself. so since i have a family photo sesh coming up ( with my sisters and their families, plus an engagement photo sesh right after) i want to look VERY cute. a nice shirt, some sexy jeans( cause its so hard to find sexy jeans after a baby) and some FMpumps just for fun!

Hmm, I would put it towards groceries and have a bbq with cute Martha Stewart style decorations for our friends. I'm trying to save money and NOT do that kind of stuff, so it would be an oh so nice splurge!

Normally I would say a cute outfit, or something to make me feel like a less "frumpy" mom, but being a week away from being 7 months pregnant...all I WANT IS FOOD! However, I must say I just purchased a treadmill with the money i saved from my birthday and random holidays in order to lose (or attempt to) the baby lovely lady lumps (first baby AND this baby). So right now...I would spend $100 on pickles, ice cream, and a good face wash to control the hormone pimple face I have going on :-)

Sadly, I'd spend it on the taxes i owe either the state of MN or the irs. Not fun. But that's what I have to do with any extra money I have right now. Lame I know, but responsible. Being an adult sucks ass sometimes.

Oh cool! I need to find something that works better for my skin type. Let's see... I loaned out $100 dollars recently and have plans for it if/when I get it back. I want to add another name to my tattoo, and touchup the color. It's a black silhouette of a fairy, sprinkling fairy dust (stars) onto my kids names. I just need to get the babies name added!

Oooo, how fun! I would have to say I would probably spend it on a hot stone massage! Since becoming a mother five (almost 6, YIKES!) months ago, I feel guilty even thinking about leaving her to go pamper myself!
